Home-Start Cotswolds Scheme

Home-Start Cotswolds was launched in 2006. Our office is based in Cirencester, and there are five part-time members of staff.

Overall management of our scheme is the responsibility of a Management Committee which meets 6 times a year. The committee is made up of a group of dedicated volunteers, 8 of whom are trustees and 3 who act in an advisory role. To ensure the smooth running of the scheme there are three sub committees which meet throughout the year to look specifically at Finance & Fundraising, Personnel and Profile & Fund Raising. During the year April 2015 to March 2016 we had 55 trained volunteers, who were able to support 54 families, including 124 children.

Home-Start UK

Every year Home-Start helps thousands of families in hundreds of local communities across the UK. In total there are over 290 other schemes. However, each Home-Start scheme is independent and is responsible for their own management and fund raising. Home-Start UK ensures that the same high quality of service is offered at every Home-Start scheme. They provide training for all staff across schemes, assess Home-Start work against agreed quality standards, offer information through a UK wide Intranet and advise trustees and staff in areas of governance.
