Home-Start Cotswolds Operations Manager

18.5 hours per week

Office based (Cirencester) or hybrid role

Salary £33,945 (pro rata)

Home-Start Cotswolds is a local charity offering support to families with young children who are experiencing challenging times. Our trained volunteers visit families at home on a weekly basis to offer compassionate and confidential support. We also run weekly groups for parents with babies and young children.

As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and shaping the strategic direction of our charity. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Policy Development. Lead on the review and implementation of comprehensive policies and procedures.
  • Compliance Management. Ensure that our organisation adheres to all relevant regulations and standards, keeping abreast of changes and proactively adjusting policies as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement. Identify opportunities for process enhancements, streamline workflows, and implement efficient procedures to maximise the impact of our charitable initiatives.
  • Funding Programme. Plan and implement our funding strategy to secure necessary income.

We are committed to helping families with young children through their toughest times. Your role will not directly work with our families, however an understanding of how our team develops strong and trusting relationships with families and works alongside them is important.

This could be a hybrid role, however, we need the successful applicant to be able to work some of their weekly hours on a Monday and Tuesday in our office in Cirencester.

Essential requirements:

Proficient at using IT and database systems including Microsoft Office suite.

Experience of managing a project.

Experiencing of writing and reviewing policies and procedures.

Experience of bid writing and fundraising.

Experience in managing and coaching others.

Knowledge and understanding of the needs of families.

Experience in maintaining legislation and regulatory procedures.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

A commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.

Eligibility to work in the UK.

Occasional travel to meetings in the county.
