We’re sending our thanks to the Linus Project UK (North Gloucestershire branch) as they continue to provide handmade quilted blankets for the families we support. They are beautifully made, and incredibly useful for new parents too. Pictured here is one of the babies enjoying some tummy time on their new blanket.
We’d also like to thank the Kemble & Ewan Craft Group for the many knitted blankets they have provided us with, also much loved, and a cosy addition in this cold winter weather.
These amazing gifts from our local community really help us to support families. The energy and love that goes into making them acts as a real reminder that our local community cares, and that they are looking out for the families we support. We know from talking to families that have received them, that they go on to cherish these homemade items for many years. One Mum recently sent a message about their Linus Project blanket, 7 years on from receiving it;
“It is incredibly special and means so much to us as a family, that someone would be so kind to make it and give it to him. He loves it”
Thank you to all of the talented crafters out there who continue to support local families, the time and energy you spend spreading joy to others really is appreciated.
