Two of our incredible long-standing volunteers (Bridget Plant and trustee Carolyn Ford) were thrilled to attend a carol concert at Westminster Abbey, hosted by the Princess of Wales and The Royal Foundation. They were joined by 3 volunteers from Home-Start Stroud & Gloucester and Home-Start North & West Gloucestershire, and it was shown ITV on Christmas Eve!! ‘Royal Carols: Together at Christmas’. Here is what Bridget had to say afterwards:
‘Our invitations and ID were checked and then we went through a scanner and joined the queue to get in. We were lucky that the Princess of Wales came to talk to a little boy just near us so Carolyn was able to get a photo. The service was very well done and there were screens so that we could see when a celebrity was performing.’
