Last week we held our 20th anniversary celebration at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester. We were fortunate enough to be joined by current and former volunteers, trustees, staff, supporters and funders, bringing everyone together to celebrate and reflect on the last 20 years of Home-Start Cotswolds. It was a wonderful evening, full of chat, reunions and reminiscing, and it felt really special to have so many people in one room to celebrate such a milestone.
We were especially lucky to welcome Kim Brown (nee Hartshorne), one of the founders of the charity. Kim shared her experiences of setting up Home-Start Cotswolds back in 2005 with Tony Jones and Clare Baker (who were also in attendance). We also heard from Jane, one of our current volunteers, who shared her experience of supporting a local family.
We’d like to say a special thank you to Tanners Solicitors, who kindly sponsored the event and also to Raffles Fine Wines in Nailsworth, who so generously provided the wine for the evening. Without their support we wouldn’t have been able to get everyone together for such a special evening, so we are incredibly grateful for such generosity in our local community. Our thanks also to Meliny and Mo from The Kitchen Club, who made delicious canapes for our guests to enjoy.
We held our family party to celebrate our 20th anniversary back in the summer, and so this event draws to a close our 20th anniversary celebrations for the year. It’s been amazing to reflect on all that we have achieved as a charity over 20 years, and we now continue to look ahead to 2026 and all the work there still is to do. Here’s to many more years of Home-Start Cotswolds and we send our thanks to everyone who has been a part of our journey so far!
