It’s been wonderful to get together with our volunteers in the run up to Christmas. We love getting as many of us together as we can at this time of year to say thank you and to celebrate all that they have achieved over the past twelve months. Our volunteers are based over a wide area in the Cotswolds, so we always try and offer two locations for Christmas lunch.
Our thanks go to Meliny at The Kitchen Club for cooking us a wonderful Christmas lunch at Cirencester Baptist Church. We had a lovely vegetarian 2-course feast, and as always, lots of people were asking for the recipes to be shared afterwards – always a great sign. We also send our thanks to the Cotswold Farm Park for lunch in their restaurant. Despite the rain, some were able to join us for a walk before sitting down for lunch – but it was definitely a day for wellie boots this year!
We’re sending our thanks and best wishes at Christmas to all of our volunteers and trustees, we would like to thank them for their commitment and kindness over the past year, supporting families across the Cotswolds. We are lucky to have such a wonderful team.
And while we’re here, would you be interested in joining us? Perhaps 2026 is your year to volunteer? Our next training course starts in January; we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to share your parenting experience as a home visiting volunteer.
