We were really pleased to be able to get together recently with some of our amazing volunteers for coffee and a chat, at three separate venues. It was also a good opportunity for them to talk to each other about the type of help they are giving their Home-Start families. This ‘peer support’ is extremely valuable to our volunteers, who can find that the family they are supporting is facing a variety of different challenges. It is National Volunteer Week from 1st to 7th June and we will be spreading the word on social media about how grateful we are to our volunteers for the time they give, helping families with young children across the Cotswolds.
