We had a great training session last week.  Paul Cooper from Hoarding Disorders UK joined us at the George Moore Centre in Bourton to talk to our volunteers about the impact of Hoarding Disorder.  Paul imparted lots of interesting information during the session and touched on the contributing factors, triggers, characteristics, and impact of hoarding disorder.  Crucially, he also shared decluttering tips and how to manage safety in the home when hoarding becomes a factor.  It was a great mix of information and practical tools / techniques to help support our volunteers in their work with us.

The session was open to all our volunteers, with around 30 of the team in attendance.  It acted as a great way to introduce our new volunteers (currently training with us) to the rest of our amazing volunteering team.  And as is customary, there was a homemade cake (thank you Katharine), lemon drizzle on this occasion!

Our thanks go to Paul for a great session and for the important work of Hoarding Disorders UK.
