To ensure all our staff, volunteers and trustees are kept up to date on our safeguarding policies, we hold training sessions for everyone to attend. Over the past month we’ve run two sessions, one in Cirencester and one in Bourton-on-the-Water. The training acts as a great reminder of our roles and responsibilities when it comes to safeguarding, keeping everyone up to date and well informed on such a vital part of our work. We choose to do this training face to face as it also gives us a great opportunity to come together, share our experiences and support one another. It’s great to see the rooms so full, with lots of discussion, chat and shared experiences. Thanks to everyone who came along to the sessions, the commitment of our volunteers and trustees is wonderful to see.
If you are interested in joining us, we are currently looking for new volunteers who will start their training in January 2025. We run an 8 week initial training course, so our new volunteers feel confident and ready to support a local family. The course will run in Andoversford on Thursday mornings, 9.30 – 1pm from the 23rd January – 20 March 2025. We are holding an ‘Information Morning’ on Thursday 14th November, 10am – 11am at Andoversford Community Church for anyone who is interested to learn more. You’ll also find information on the Volunteering page of this site, or feel free to get in touch for a chat on 01285 885391.
