We had a wonderful get together with our volunteers last week. We took over a big table at the Old Prison Cafe in Northleach for a cup of tea and a good chat! It was lovely to see those who could make it, it’s always a great opportunity for us to catch up, share experiences and support one another as home-visiting volunteers. We like to have these informal meet ups throughout the year, they aren’t mandatory but it’s always great to see anyone who is free to join us. Our next get together will be our Christmas lunch, the time seems to be flying!

We run a free 8 week volunteer training course, building on your own parenting experience to give you the knowledge and confidence you need to become a home-visiting volunteer. We’ll be able to tell you more about this very rewarding volunteering role and you can ask any questions you might have. We’re looking for volunteers who have:
- the desire to help families who are experiencing challenging times
- parenting experience
- 2-3 hours per week to visit a family
- North Cotswolds location
This year, we are looking for volunteers to help support families based primarily in the North Cotswolds area – locations such as Northleach, The Rissingtons, Bourton-on-the-Water, Moreton-in-Marsh, Blockley, Chipping Campden and Mickleton. Our training course will run in Andoversford on Thursday mornings, starting on 23rd January, 9.30am – 1pm for 8 weeks (not including half term).
